Our Intent
At Arachnid Citadel our goals are very simple, to share the passion of tarantula keeping by providing healthy, captive bred specimens to fellow hobbyist.
That being said, if you are ever unhappy with an order, please reach out to us! We will always do our best to make it right.Â
Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
All live specimens listed on this website come with a 100% LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTE (LAG), meaning we guarantee that your animal will arrive alive at the time of your first delivery attempt.
This also means we will honor your purchase in the unfortunate event of the carrier losing or damaging your package.

In the unlikely event that your specimen is dead on arrival (DOA):
​
1. Please immediately call or text us within a reasonable amount of time (same day, preferably same hour).
​
2. We will ask you to provide clear, non-blurry, and bright photos or video evidence of said deceased specimen.
​
3. We may request the specimen to be returned to us for further investigation at our expense.Â
In the event of LAG compensation, your options are:Â
1. return of cost of spider(s)
​
2. store credit for amount of spider(s)
​
3. replacement of the same species (if they are in stock)
Shipping Policies
To prioritize the safety of the animals, We only ship live animals on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday to avoid the chances of weekend delays. "Overnight Shipping" does not mean you will receive your shipment the next day after placing your order. This only means we utilize FedEx's most expedited shipping service which minimizes transport time to as few as 12 hours, this ensures the animal is safe and spends as little time in transit as possible.Â

Orders placed after 12pm on Tuesday will ship out the following Monday.
Weather delays:
We are always monitoring weather conditions before shipping live animals. If temperatures at out location, your location, or the main FedEx routing hubs are deemed unsafe (below 35 degrees or above 95 degrees), we will hold your package until it is safe to ship. Temperatures between 85-95 degrees are held at facility for pickup.
Local Pickup
We are based in St. Petersburg, Florida and offer local pick up to nearby customers if preferred. If you wish to pick up locally, Please contact us by phone or social media and we can arrange payment and pick up times directly through message.
Bundle Pack Shipping
If you have purchased a bundle pack, please note that your order (depending on the size) may be shipped in two separate shipments to ensure the safety and well-being of the animal.

Live Animals will be shipped via Priority Overnight delivery, while enclosures, accessories, and other non living items may be shipped separately using standard shipping. This method helps minimize stress for the animal and allows the package it travels in to be more secure. The less weight bulkiness, the better.Â

For some smaller bundle kits, all items may be shipped together in a single overnight package if it is safe and appropriate to do so.
Bundle Pack Shipping
Due to shipping safety requirements, Custom enclosures that aren't locally picked up and purchased online are carefully disassembled to ensure proper transit. Components such as decor, substrate, and structural elements are individually packaged and the enclosure elements must be assembled by the customer upon arrival. While all materials included will reflect those shown in the product listing, the final arrangement may vary from the images provided. Customers purchasing enclosures online are responsible for assembling the enclosure by referencing the original design shown or in a manner consistent with their own preferences.Â

Please also note that live Arachnids may naturally overtime alter their environment through webbing, rearranging substrate, or even moving objects around. The enclosures appearance may change after setup. Please do not have the expectation that your enclosure will arrive or remain the same layout as pictured on the website.Â

Enclosures purchased via local pickup may be provided fully assembled as displayed in photos.

Arachnid Citadel assumes no liability for any harm or damages that could result from possession of these animals. It is your responsibility as a buyer to do your own research and to be prepared before purchasing any exotic animal. There can always be a risk associated with any animals available for sale on this website.
